(Click on a problem to comment or help)Just got my hmxf90. I have had it plugged in to charge, but it's not charging. The charge light is not on and the battery isn't charging. Any suggestions??
My brand new HMX-F90 makes a clicking sound during playback on every video I record. It isn't audible when I'm actually recording something in person, but when I plug the chip into my computer to extract the footage, or watch the clip on the camera screen, every video has a consistent, repeated clicking sound the entire time. What can I do to eliminate this, save for exchanging it for a new one?
When connected to usb cable it says it is not rated. It is not connecting to pc or intelstudio software.

My camera says that it's charged but when I take the cord out it doesn't turn on so I put the cord back in and it says that its dead
Can't set the time/date. I go to menu, but it will not navigate to settings. When I first turned it on and the date/time screen came on, it would not change the settings when I pressed the arrow buttons.

Solution 1: Your camcorder's autofocus is probably having problems locking on to objects in the foreground. In the settings menu, choose the macro function where available. You'll see it shown with an icon of a small flower.

Solution 1: You need to back up your recordings. Copy them to a computer. If you record them to a DVD, don't rely on this to store your precious videos. Recordable DVDs degrade over time.

Problem: Battery keeps running out too quickly.

Solution 1: Rechargable batteries have a limited life and they hold their charge less and less as their life goes on. You probably need a new battery.
To help your battery last longer, try to charge it fully every time and don't stop it charging when it's not finished.
If your unit is brand new, it might have a faulty battery. Contact your retailer.

Solution 1: Your computer might not have the right software installed to watch the kind of video your camera takes. Install the software that came with your camera, or as an alternative, Google "VLC" for a great video player that will install on most computers and play almost all kinds of video.
