(Click on a problem to comment or help)When zooming in with the button on the top of the camera and with the zoom ring the camera will lose focus and then zoom in repeatedly and try to focus and continues to zoom in and out on its own and focus goes crazy. Only way to stop it is to shut the camera off. When I restart the camera it is fine and records fine until I try to zoom. It happens with auto focus on and focus set to manual. Also had a few other strange problems like shitter speed would randomly drop to 4 and recording mode menu would randomly come up on the screen. Help!!!
MY sony ax2000 is having color display problem. The display on the camcorder view, you can see green lines along the words. When i transfer the file onto editing you can see the color malfunction display on the video at the bottom. To eliminate it i crop the video and zoom in then edit. But I'm wondering how to fix it. I'm guessing must take it to get fix. I believe its a color screen problem that is affecting the recording as well.

Solution 1: Your camcorder's autofocus is probably having problems locking on to objects in the foreground. In the settings menu, choose the macro function where available. You'll see it shown with an icon of a small flower.

Solution 1: You need to back up your recordings. Copy them to a computer. If you record them to a DVD, don't rely on this to store your precious videos. Recordable DVDs degrade over time.

Problem: Battery keeps running out too quickly.

Solution 1: Rechargable batteries have a limited life and they hold their charge less and less as their life goes on. You probably need a new battery.
To help your battery last longer, try to charge it fully every time and don't stop it charging when it's not finished.
If your unit is brand new, it might have a faulty battery. Contact your retailer.

Solution 1: Your computer might not have the right software installed to watch the kind of video your camera takes. Install the software that came with your camera, or as an alternative, Google "VLC" for a great video player that will install on most computers and play almost all kinds of video.
