(Click on a problem to comment or help)I am watching recorded handycam material through a dvd recorder and tv so I can edit out unwanted shots.(done this several times before).When I select a shot for deleting, I keep getting a message 'check the connected device' and 'disc burn' in bottom lh corner. I then have to 'end' (top lh corner)and scroll through entire recorded programme again to retrieve. i HAVE tried removing power source and pressing 'reset' button but the problem still persists. Any suggestions please?
I can't find where to change the recording settings to record in HD? every time I record and transfer to my Mac the movie files are 720? thank you
When the camera is started it displays the 'Handycam' logo for about 3 seconds then switches off. this also happens when the charger is plugged in. I have replaced the battery and also tried another working charger to no avail. Any ideas?
When I watch back my recordings they freeze and won't play. I also can't transfer recordings anymore. Could you lease help

Solution 1: Your camcorder's autofocus is probably having problems locking on to objects in the foreground. In the settings menu, choose the macro function where available. You'll see it shown with an icon of a small flower.

Solution 1: You need to back up your recordings. Copy them to a computer. If you record them to a DVD, don't rely on this to store your precious videos. Recordable DVDs degrade over time.

Problem: Battery keeps running out too quickly.

Solution 1: Rechargable batteries have a limited life and they hold their charge less and less as their life goes on. You probably need a new battery.
To help your battery last longer, try to charge it fully every time and don't stop it charging when it's not finished.
If your unit is brand new, it might have a faulty battery. Contact your retailer.

Solution 1: Your computer might not have the right software installed to watch the kind of video your camera takes. Install the software that came with your camera, or as an alternative, Google "VLC" for a great video player that will install on most computers and play almost all kinds of video.
