(Click on a problem to comment or help)Hello.panasonic hc-v500 crashes during recording and I can not turn off I have to remove the battery,hen I tried to reset the firmware,I formatted the card,
I also tried using different cards but the problem remains and the strange thing is that by trying to reset many times happens that works but only once or twice I close the camcorder then turn it on again I try to register, and the problem occurs again,precisely that all other functions of the camcorder they work perfectly,only the recording function It does not work and blocks the camcorder.I suppose it's not a hardware problem but I think that the firmware is corrupted.Then I first went to Panasonic Support and I asked if I could do the firmware update and they said that is not possible because there is no update for the hc-v500. OK!Then asked if they could repair it and thay said yes is possible but with the cost of about € 200.00 and then I greeted them.I leave you to imagine what I thought at that time of the Panasonic Support.But still I ask if any of you can find a another solution before I buy a new camcorder , certainly no more a panasonic
The screen on my Panasonic HC-V500 is always green. The touch screen icons are visible but the background is green. No image appears on the screen. If a picture is taken and uploaded on to the computer, it is green. What would cause this?

Solution 1: Your camcorder's autofocus is probably having problems locking on to objects in the foreground. In the settings menu, choose the macro function where available. You'll see it shown with an icon of a small flower.

Solution 1: You need to back up your recordings. Copy them to a computer. If you record them to a DVD, don't rely on this to store your precious videos. Recordable DVDs degrade over time.

Solution 1: Rechargable batteries have a limited life and they hold their charge less and less as their life goes on. You probably need a new battery.
To help your battery last longer, try to charge it fully every time and don't stop it charging when it's not finished.
If your unit is brand new, it might have a faulty battery. Contact your retailer.

Solution 1: Your computer might not have the right software installed to watch the kind of video your camera takes. Install the software that came with your camera, or as an alternative, Google "VLC" for a great video player that will install on most computers and play almost all kinds of video.
